I began by applying a thin skippy layer of White Gesso using a palette knife to the Idea-ology Baseboard Window frame.
I inked the Ticking Background Cling Stamp with Black Soot Distress Oxide, spritzed the stamp lightly with water and stamped on to a panel of Distress Watercolor card trimmed to 4" x 5.1/4". I fixed vellum to the back of the window and fixed to the panel using my hot glue gun. I used a palette knife and small brush to add Distress Grit Paste Snowfall randomly on the window frame and sprinkled with Distress Rock Candy Glitter while the paste was still wet.
I die-cut Tim Holtz/Sizzix Festive Gatherings from Simon Says Red Lipstick and Green Apple cardstock, shaded with Pine Needles Distress Oxide and Black Soot Distress ink and assembled.
I fixed the die-cut foliage to the frame using my hot glue gun, great for layering foliage when you don't want to wait for adhesive to dry.
I die-cut Simon Says Layered Warbler from Distress Watercolor card, coloured with Antique Linen, Gathered Twigs and Barn Door Distress Oxide inks and assembled. I added the eye and feet die-cut from Black cardstock and fixed in place with hot glue.
I threaded silver jingle bells from my stash on to red thread, tied in a double bow and added to the panel.
I die-cut the word Joy from red cardstock and Sizzix Foam Adhesive using the alphabet dies from Tim Holtz/Sizzix Santa Greetings Colorize Thinlits and fixed to the frame.
To finish I fixed the panel to Black cardstock trimmed slightly larger and matted on to an A2 white card blank.
